Most places have one vegan flavour. It’s usually a sorbet, it’s usually mango, and it’s usually been in the tray a while.
We carry eight non-dairy options every day: three vegan gelatos and five sorbets.
Judged, not just claimed
At the 2026 Royal Queensland Ice Cream, Gelato & Sorbet Awards, our Green Queen’s Delight won a silver medal in Class 10, Gelato: Non-Animal Milk Product — a class judged entirely on non-dairy gelato.
Our sorbets medalled too: The Cheshire Zing took silver in the citrus sorbet class, Mango Mayhem and Hearts a Flutter in the tropical and fruit sorbet classes, and Caterpillar’s Cool Cocoa took bronze.
That matters because “we have vegan options” is something anyone can say. These were judged blind against the rest of the state.
The difference between vegan gelato and sorbet
Worth knowing, because they’re genuinely different things.
Sorbet is fruit, sugar and water. No milk of any kind was ever involved. It’s lighter, sharper and refreshing rather than rich.
Vegan gelato is made the way dairy gelato is, but on a plant base instead of milk. It’s creamy, rich and much closer to what you’d expect from a scoop of gelato.
Most places offer only the first. We make both.

For someone who’s avoiding dairy, that’s a much better deal than it sounds. Instead of choosing the one thing you’re allowed and hoping it’s good, you get to have several. Three sorbets and a vegan chocolate in one cup is a normal order here.
